Sean and Elisha in the Olive Gown
Sean and Elisha’s wedding took full advantage of the scenic gardens at Appleford Estate, nestled in the heart of Villanova, Pennsylvania.
From First Glance to “I Do”
It was 2018 when Elisha first noticed Sean from behind the bar. He’d been into her work a few times before, and there was something about him she couldn’t help but notice. One night, she went for it — got his number, and by the next day, he’d asked her out.
Their relationship grew quickly but naturally. They shared the kind of connection that made everything feel easy — like home. When Sean proposed in 2020 during the height of COVID, they both knew they didn’t want to rush the next step. Instead, they took their time, embracing a four-year engagement filled with the joy of getting two golden retrievers and buying their dream home.
By the time their wedding day arrived, the couple had already built a life together — the wedding simply became the celebration of everything they’d created. “It was perfect,” Elisha says. “I wouldn’t have had it any other way.”
A Garden Wedding at Appleford Estate, Pennsylvania
The couple always imagined a wedding venue where the natural beauty of the outdoors could do the talking. Appleford Estate, nestled in the heart of Villanova, Pennsylvania, offered just that. With its beautiful gardens, centuries-old trees, flowering plants, and boxwoods, it was a space that felt timeless and untouched, where every corner seemed made for a moment. “I never saw myself going crazy over wedding flowers, so hosting our wedding at a place that was already naturally beautiful in itself felt fitting,” says Elisha. The highlight of the day for the bride was walking down the aisle, seeing Sean at the end of it, and knowing the day that they had been dreaming of for four years had arrived.
Timeless Moments in Olive
Long before the proposal, Elisha had saved the Olive gown on her Pinterest board; it had always felt like her. When the moment finally came to step into it, the gown was her dream dress. “Olive is the perfect combination of class, modesty, and timelessness. And when I put it on that day, it was truly everything I imagined it would be. The dress felt like it was made for me.”
Choosing Olive wasn’t just about finding a beautiful dress — it was about recognising herself in it. “Go with your gut,” she says now, reflecting on the experience. “Pick a gown you’ll love ten, twenty, or thirty years from now.”
