Colin and Natalia in the Oceania and Noah Gown
Colin and Natalia's destination wedding at Baja Luna in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico was a dreamlike event, surrounded by lush mango farm views. Â
City Lovers
Colin and Natalia were coworkers from different city offices who, coincidentally, were both requested by clients to visit Toronto at the same time. Despite having only interacted over Zoom and being new to the company, Natalia agreed to share a hotel room with him during their work trip in Canada, planned together purely as business partners. However, as they began texting “offline,” she quickly fell for his humor and charming demeanor. It seemed harmless to be “roommates” for a few days in a new city. Surprisingly, their first date happened within the first hour of meeting each other in person. They ventured across the street to the CN Tower, riding the elevator to the top to take in the breathtaking city views. Four years later, he proposed to her in that same spot, where their story had begun.Â
A Unique Wedding in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico
The couple married at Baja Luna in San Jose Del Cabo on a natural mango farm. The stunning locale was surrounded by lush greenery, and the beauty of the landscape was reflected in every detail of the wedding. From the materials used in the dĂ©cor to the locally sourced food, Baja Luna embodied a sense of authenticity and sustainability that made their special day truly unique. They planned their wedding for May, a time when the mango farm is filled with the sweet scent of nearly ripe fruit. The entire scene was further heightened by a remarkable double rainbow on the day of their wedding. This rare moment was not only a first for the couple but also for the staff and the cherished grounds of Baja Luna. The venue was the perfect setting for a wedding that felt like a dream come true.Â
Natalia advises against being swayed by traditional wedding expectations of what you are "supposed" to do, wear, or say. Instead, she encourages brides to embrace what they genuinely desire for their special day. The bride describes this authenticity as “a feeling no one can create other than you, and Grace does a fantastic job of highlighting that in the dress that you chose.”Â
Natalia’s Bridal Looks from Ceremony to Reception
Natalia’s bridal journey began with discovering Grace Loves Lace on Instagram. With a deep appreciation for sustainability, the bride was drawn to our commitment to ethical and sustainable practices. “As a born and bred Californian, I share the same love for our earth that Grace does and quickly fell in love with their mission,” Natalia shares.
Her excitement only grew when she visited one of our boutiques, feeling welcomed by her stylist, Karina. “I didn't feel pressured or that I was treated like a sale; I felt like I was given room to be myself and find something unique to me.” The atmosphere was vibrant, with champagne and lively music setting the tone for a memorable day with her closest friends. “I feel so lucky to have had this experience, and I know other brides at Grace have felt this same incredible feeling,” the bride reminisces. Â
For the ceremony, Natalia wore the Oceania gown, a choice that matched her vibrant and luxurious venue in Cabo. “It was the first dress I tried on,” she shared, captivated by the luminescent satin, modern v-neckline, and dramatic long train. Oceania was perfect for her walk down the aisle to "Here Comes the Sun" by The Beatles, shimmering under the sunlight. Natalia also appreciated its non-traditional appeal, noting, “I loved that it was not a true white wedding dress.” Her bridal stylist’s suggestion of our pearly long veil added the final touches to her ceremony look. For the reception, Natalia opted for the Noah gown, falling in love with its lace back and unique and intricate details. She wanted a dress for the celebration that she could dance in all night long. Noah was effortless yet impactful, capturing the room's attention as she stepped onto the dance floor. Â
